WUSKOWHAN NEWS

We hope everyone has had a safe and healthy winter.  It amazes me year after year how quickly each golf season flies by and the 2020 golf season is quickly approaching.  Now that March has arrived, we would like to make everyone aware of things happening around the club.

With no snow to melt and temperatures slowing rising we understand everyone is excited for some spring golf.  We will be evaluating the course conditions daily; but we will not open until we feel the course is ready to be played on.  We will keep everyone updated as soon as we have an opening dateWe appreciate your patience in this endeavor as Ryan and his dedicated crew have a lot of course clean up to complete before we can open the course and have it in playable condition that reflect our standards.

Wuskowhan operates with a strong emphasis on preserving the traditions of the game of golf and offering an environment where service is paramount.  Over the last 25 years, the Founding Members have set expectations to create a unique “Wuskowhan Experience” for every member and guest who play or dine at the club. We strive to provide this experience through exceptional customer service and golf course conditions which are only available at the elite clubs in the country.  Continuity in our ownership and management staff is the key reason why we are able to provide a consistent level of service and course conditions you don’t often find.  Wuskowhan’s Chairman, Mr. Postma, has served in this role since the club was founded in 1995.  Kirk Scheerhorn, Director of Golf and Russ Walk, Associate Golf Professional are returning for their 19th & 12th season respectively. Ryan Osborn, Golf Course Superintendent is returning for his 17th season with his full complement of assistants. Leading the way in the restaurant with three full golf seasons under his belt is Food & Beverage Manager, Josh Ewbank.  We are excited to announce we have hired Caleb Westbrook as our new Head Chef starting the 2020 season.  Caleb has been working as our Sous Chef for the past two seasons and has excelled in that position.  Caleb has extensive knowledge and experience leading area restaurants before coming to Wuskowhan.  He is committed and excited to continue the excellent dining experience we offer in the restaurant. Lisa Monroe provides an exceptionally high level of care with our management of the finances and will be returning for her 13th season.  Entering his 22nd season, Kevin Dushane continues to be the glue that holds the club together. Paul Townsend, General Manager, is returning for his 16th season.  It’s safe to say that the stability amongst our ownership and management staff is not normally seen within the golf industry. This only validates how wonderful the membership of Wuskowhan is to serve.

The entire staff is eager and ready to begin another season.  We look forward to seeing you at Wuskowhan as soon as the weather breaks and the golf course is ready.  Thank you for being a part of Wuskowhan!
